Character Types

Individuals can only choose 3 of these abilities for their character’s specialization. However as a rule and to promote fairness. No one individual can be a Speed demon and a Strength demon. It will just lead to GMing and I can’t have that.

Speed Demons: Character that choose to be speed demons will generally be faster than others in terms of speed. They will also have the opportunity to learn more advanced techniques relating to speed. These techniques may include “Utsusemi” and other inventive techniques. However please don’t make the mistake into thinking Fighting speed and Shunpo/Sonido speed is the same. In fact they are two totally different things.

Strength Demons: These are warriors that have monstrous strength and can be very deadly in close quarters combat. They are known for breaking through defenses with their physical strength alone. (Your basically looking at a Komomura and a Zaraki rolled up into one). Crossing blades with characters that specialize in this field can be very troublesome. As the force alone from swinging their blade or punching can be devastating. To those who are not of the same type too. Totally blocking their attacks may seem impossible at times. These attacks only refer to sword swings, slashes thrust etc. The body of a strength demon is generally muscular to accommodate their physical prowess. Those who are physically weak can never be a strength demon.

Reiatsu Demons: This in now way have nothing to do with the amount of reiatsu one has. Instead its about the way someone is able to use their reiatsu. A versatile enough user can create Shields out of raw Reiatsu. Other can create even a make shift swords among other things. This field encourages other to experiment a little with their character should they choose it.

Kidou Demons: These individuals are generally adept at using kidou. And will most likely use it more than others who are not as adept. They also have the potential to learn higher level spells. And should their rank dictates and the circumstances are right. They may also learn level 90’s kidou and some forbidden spells. Captains will start with level 70's spells. Vice Captains will start with level 60's. You will then have the opportunity to learn higher levels spells. How high you can go is dependant of your character type.

Cero types: These individuals are able to use their Cero techniques inventively. For example they can possible use a double Cero like Nel Tu in the show. However these things will require training in order to accomplish. There are also other ways to manipulate Cero, but it has to be within reason.

Shunko: For someone to use this ability. They must and is required to be a kidou and an Expert in Hakuda. Hakuda~ Hand to hand combat. These individuals will carefully be monitored and if they don’t live up to the requirements then it won’t happen. Shunko is also for those of Captain’s level and above. Basically your character should be based around Hakuda and Kidou. Think it’s unfair? Look at Soi fon and Yoruichi.

Zanjutsu: Those that specialize in this field are normally experts when it comes to wielding a sword. How much of an expert will depend entirely on their rank and ability. Those that use their sword really well are also generally fast when it comes to swinging their sword. This is what most would call fighting speed. Their reaction and so forth will be in top shape. But again this will depend entirely on someone’s rank etc.


Hakuda: These individuals are most skilled at using hand to hand combat. And should they also be kidou experts then they will most likely be given the chance to learn Shunko. Hakuda users should feel intimidated by those that uses Zanjutsu. Since an Hakuda user can be handle themselves just as well. Again look at Soi fon as an example. Their fighting speed and agility is expected to be excellent. But it depends solely on their abilities and rank.

Houhou/Shunpo: These individuals are generally adept at using the speed arts. Such as Sonido and among other things. However speed demons will be faster than your regular Shunpo users. This is supplementary and it will depend on the individual’s ability to use it. It is most common for those of higher rank to be more adept at using this. This doesn’t have to be chosen as an ability since most likely everyone should know a bit of Shunpo etc.
